A 3‑month Reiki program to learn Okuden (Reiki 2)
This program will be offered in early 2027. If you have taken Shoden (Reiki 1) I invite you to enroll in Rooted Reiki Review this fall to prepare for Okuden this winter.

Be Rooted II: Presence is the continuation of the Be Rooted journey for those who feel called to share Reiki with others while staying anchored, regulated, and embodied themselves.
This program focuses not only on Reiki techniques and symbols, but on the inner capacity required to hold space ethically and sustainably. You’ll deepen your relationship with Reiki as a living practice, learning how to offer sessions from presence rather than effort, through practice with other students and others.
Receive Okuden (Reiki II certification) with the consistent support of a tight-knit group, monthly one-on-one sessions, and immersive retreats that honor your full self.
What You’ll Learn & Experience
This program is experiential, supportive, and paced to allow real integration, leaving space for practice and ample time to ask questions as you step into sharing Reiki with others.
Review the history or Reiki as taught in Reiki 1 (Shoden) including how it started in Japan, came to the US and it has been influenced across cultures. Continue to dive into the origins of Reiki through a decolonized lens, with cultural appreciation, avoiding cultural appropriation
Reiki II (Okuden) initiation (Reiju) or attunement during the second weekend together
A deep dive into the history and mysteries of the 3 Reiki symbols- new information that is really cool and I’m excited to share (new content this year!)
Cultivating a steady, grounded healing presence
Ethical, embodied and trauma-informed ways of offering Reiki to others
Deepening intuition while staying regulated- time for a deeper dive into your psychic abilities as they open up with the practice of Reiki
Boundaries, pacing, and self‑care for practitioners
Continuation of living the Reiki principles.
Be Rooted 2: Presence is for people who:
Have learned Reiki 1 (Shoden) and are comfortable in their self-Reiki practice, and are ready for the next deep dive into the practice.
Are interested in a deeper dive into the history of Reiki and the symbols taught in Okuden.
Value embodiment, nervous system awareness, and relational presence.
Are ready for a longer, deeper immersion into Reiki as a practice.
Feel called to deepen your own spiritual practice with Reiki

🌀 Weekly Small Group Circle (via Zoom)
Wednesday evenings 1‑hour group circle on Zoom each week for ongoing support, connection, and reflection in a consistent community. These circles will also include some of the history of Reiki & practices of Reiki.
🌀 Monthly 1:1 Intuitive Reiki Sessions
1 private Reiki session per month with Tekla
(75‑minute session | 3 total sessions)
🌀 Private Circle Portal + Resources
Ongoing access to guided practices, readings, reflection prompts, and community updates between gatherings.
What to expect & dates

We meet every Wednesday on Zoom . This community time gives the group the grounded time each week to check in and be in practice together. This weekly connection is deeply valued by the group and is essential to building the community.

Okuden Reiju (initiation) and practice sharing Reiki in commuinity- lots of time to practice and ask questions. A fun weekend of deep practice and connecting to the symbols. In-person for all- please arrange to travel to Lafayette!

all day-We close our 3 months together with a day of ceremony, celebration, and sharing Reiki. This is not the ending but a beginning of a new way of moving through life, with the practices and tools to stay connected to your truest self, while having the practice to keep letting go of what does not serve. This final day is celebration and practice. In-person unless you are out of town- zoom.

During our 3 months together, there is an optional Signal group to stay connected during the week, to have brief check-ins for support and accountability. After we finish up together, there is opportunity to join in-person Reiki shares, join the Reiki Roots community, an online intuitive Reiki practice group that meets twice a month, and if you are interested in moving forward with Shinpiden, Tekla will be offering this course individually in. a mentoring program.

A Trauma-Informed, Justice-Oriented Healing Space
Be Rooted is grounded in a commitment to compassion, inclusion, and healing justice. This program is designed to be a space where all parts of you are welcome—no spiritual bypassing, no perfection required. We honor each person’s lived experience, with a focus on accessibility, anti-racism, and embodied integrity.
Duration: 3 months
Location: In-person, possibly Hybrid (Lafayette, CO + Zoom)
Group Size: Intimate circle of 5 participants
Time Investment: Weekly Zoom calls, monthly 1:1 sessions, 2 in-person or online retreats
Start Date: early 2027 is the first weekend, and our first weekly Zoom Circle is early 2027 at 5:45pm MT
