The practice of Reiki is an easy practice to learn, and supports embodiment, energy awareness, and connection to your own intuition. Living in this uncertain world can lead to feeling ungrounded and disconnected to our own bodies and inner truth. Learning Reiki throughBe Rooted I: Embodiment is designed to meet you in this moment.
This three‑month program is an invitation to slow down, come back into relationship with yourself, and learn how to be embodied—not just during practice, but in daily life. Through Shoden (Reiki I) training over mini weekend retreats, weekly group connection, and personal sessions, you’ll build a steady, repeatable practice that supports regulation, clarity, and self‑trust.
What You’ll Learn & Experience
This program is experiential, supportive, and paced to allow real integration, leaving space for practice and ample time to ask questions as your learn Reiki.
The history of Reiki- how it started in Japan, came to the US and returned to Japan again, and how it is a practice that has been greatly influenced by the world cultures over the past 100 years.
The origins of Reiki and recognizing what parts of “Reiki” that are often taught are not the true roots of Reiki.
Through learning the history, this course is taught through a decolonized lens, with cultural appreciation, avoiding cultural appropriation throughout the program. Tekla has been learning and growing her personal Reiki practice for over a decade, and continues to learn to be the best teacher she can be.
Understand energy through the lens of embodiment and regulation through the practice of meditation and Reiki.
You will develop a consistent daily self‑Reiki practice & other grounding practices from the Japanese traditions of Reiki
Experience the initiation (Reiju) or attunement for Shoden, Reiki 1 on the second weekend together
Strengthen your ability to stay present during stress and transition
Build a felt relationship with your body, intuition, and energy, including energetic boundaries
Practice embodiment tools you can return to long after the program ends
