The Symbolism of the Be Rooted Logo

I love the Be Rooted logo and the meaning behind it, and I would love to share it with you. Starting out as an entrepreneur was very slow-going, as I had a baby and was starting in a whole new world of birth work and healing work, after being in the science teacher and non-profit world. My original logo was special and meant a lot to me, and the story behind it still tells my story as a Reiki practitioner who supports people, including people during the prenatal and postpartum time of life.

The summary is in the graphic below made by Chantal (more info about her below). My logo really is the rooted essence of my work as a Reiki practitioner and teacher.

Breakdown of the Be Rooted logo- the spiral, sun, moon, & roots.

From Luz de la Luna, my original LLC and business to Be Rooted Healing Arts. How did this evolution happen over the past decade? To begin, the Be Rooted logo was created in partnership with a creative designer, Chantal Gauthier, Multidisciplinary Brand Coach & Creative Director who I worked with through many iterations to create this perfect logo representing Be Rooted. This was a human-created logo, made with thoughtful intention, creativity and time. Chantal has been my creative director for the Be Rooted brand, from logos to colors, photos, testimonial videos and entire brand. She helped create the brand that feels so welcoming and authentically me, and the breakdown of the logo is pretty freaking cool, I must say!

luz de la luna- still my LLC and original logo- I recorded a podcast episode about my logo and my WHY.

When I originally started my business I was doing birth work as a doula, prenatal yoga instructor, using Reiki in my work. The previous brand that got me started, Luz de la Luna, still has a place in my heart, with the beautiful meaning behind the inspiration of the logo- the light of the moon connecting to the intuition of the sea turtle to go to the “luz de la luna”. Click on the logo for the link to the podcast about the story behind the logo.

I am honored to have been sharing Reiki and teaching Reiki courses for over a decade, and what I’ve learned through Reiki and being a solo-preneur, is that change is always happening, like the cycles of the earth- the seasons, how the light changes, the moon, and our own cycles of life- of healing and growing, parenting, being parts of families and communities. The practice of Reiki continues to awe me, as I practice self-Reiki, share it with others, and teach the practice and principles. It really supports me to be rooted in my truest self, which also changes (and gets more clear) with the seasons of life!
